Definition
Candida esophagitis is a yeast infection of the esophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach.

Symptoms
Symptoms include:
* Difficulty swallowing
* Fever (only if the fungus spreads further)
* Oral thrush (Candida in the mouth)
